A hole is not exactly what you might expect in a table for your living room, but that’s exactly what it happens when you deal with a design company that thinks out of the box: you get a hole, I mean a “Holo”, a name which has a kind of Japanese sound and further on we will discover why.

Kristalia is a young but very smart Italian design company which already boasts several design icons in its palmarès (the Sushi table and the Elephant chair are two of many). Always keen to develop new ideas and to work with talented designers, this company has a contemporary approach to the furniture industry and market. They believe in quality and good ideas and it is not so ordinary as it might seem, as for them thus means also sustainability, transparency, expertise and innovation.

Also their vision to minimalism and functionality makes their product catalogue every year cooler… out standing, unique.

For Salone del Mobile 2017 Kristalia introduces worldwide the Holo collection, born by the combination of the company’s technology with Kensaku Oshiro’s creativity, a young Japanese designer, graduated in Milan and now running its own Milano based design company.

We saw this table at their showroom in Prata (Pordenone) when we visited their headquarter. The girl taking pictures under the table is our design blogger (and architect) Giorgia Geccato (Finetodesign). Now guess who’s Oshiro?!

Holo is a table featuring an original base and an oval hole, with a softly moulded shape in sheet metal, produced by a process that involves several moulding and bending phases. Holo is available in a range of different finishings for the top: laminate, glass or solid wood.
Holo design has inspired further solutions for the living room and the home office, therefore becoming the name of a range of complements – the Holo Collection – which includes an occasional table and a console table: same appeal but different fuctions. These new products along with many other alluring complements will be exhibited in Milan at Salone del Mobile, from April 6th through 9th, at Pav. 20, Booth A05-B04. We will not miss this date and you?
