One of my all-time favorite holiday gifts (its not only fun to give, but receive, as well) is a holiday sampler pack of meats, sausages, and cheeses. These are great treats for all to enjoy...OR...If you're like me, you might want to devopur the whole sampler pack, yourself. Believe me, I've received a 2 and a half pound summer sausage, a huge block of cheddar cheese, and just had a "good ol' time!"
I DID have to share it with my dog, Molly, one year, as the sausage, accidentally, slipped from its plastic wrapper and flew through the air. She'd gobbled it up, I think, in a matter of seconds. I never had a chance at it that year. Her ONE food rule was, "If food is anywhere near ground-level, its mine!" I wouldn't argue that point with her.
